3 Days from Marrakech to the Merzouga Desert

Day 1: Marrakech – High Atlas – Ait Ben Haddou – Ouarzazate – Dades Valley

After breakfast, we depart early from Marrakech heading south, crossing the High Atlas via the stunning Tizi n’Tichka Pass (2,260 m). Along the way, we make panoramic stops to enjoy the views and take photos.

We visit the famous Ait Ben Haddou Kasbah, a UNESCO World Heritage Site and backdrop for numerous international films. We continue to Ouarzazate, known as the “Gateway to the Desert”, passing by the Taourirt Kasbah.

In the afternoon, we continue to the Dades Valley, passing through the Roses Valley and traditional Berber villages.
Dinner and overnight stay at a charming hotel or riad.

Day 2: Dades Valley – Todra Gorges – Erfoud – Merzouga (Sahara Desert)

After breakfast, we head to the breathtaking Todra Gorges, a spectacular canyon with vertical walls, perfect for walking and enjoying the natural surroundings.

We continue to Erfoud, famous for its fossils and as the gateway to the Sahara. From here, the landscape gradually changes until we reach Merzouga, where the majestic dunes of Erg Chebbi begin.

In the afternoon, enjoy a sunset camel trek across the dunes to reach the desert camp. Experience an unforgettable sunset, followed by a traditional dinner, Berber music, and a night under a star-filled sky.
Overnight in a desert camp (standard or luxury option).

Day 3: Merzouga – Draa Valley – Ouarzazate – Marrakech

We recommend an early wake-up to enjoy the sunrise over the dunes, one of the most memorable moments of the trip. After breakfast, return by camel or 4×4 vehicle to the meeting point.

We begin the journey back to Marrakech, crossing the Draa Valley, famous for its endless palm groves and traditional adobe kasbahs, with stops to rest and take photos.

Arrival in Marrakech in the afternoon, concluding this exciting 3-day journey full of unforgettable landscapes.
